Is a Linux server any better than a windows server?
I was wondering what the disagreement was? My website has been on a windows supported machine and is existence transferred to a Linux. Will I hit some problems with my underway FTP. My machine uses Windows.
linux server is better, less prone to viruses. should be transparent to you.
Linux was built to run servers n code n stuff like that…. As far as I know, servers on windows are horrible. Linux will be your friend with servers though. Take it from one who used to use freebsd
It has emerged in the past few days that the Microsoft update site runs on Linux servers! Totally true. There have been a few red faces - MS is basically admitting that Linux server technology is better than their own.
