What would happen if I tried this Linux command?

I am wondering what would hap if I proven this bidding low my stem statement on my computer:
# passwd -l root
Any ideas? Has anyone proven this? I don’t hit some another accounts as sudoers.

i think it locks the password for root.
i’m not at my linux machine now but if you’re at yours look it up
the command
man passwd
should include information about the -l flag
passwd –help
stupidity is allowed under Linux - and when done as root, stupidity can have some spectacular results.
I saw a website last week about the commands you do not want to run under Linux. Why don’t you do a google search for it and see how quickly you can trash your machine?
